SEO for businesses with more than one location

Every branch should show up when someone nearby searches, without the locations competing with each other or the brand looking different in every town. We set up the structure, profiles and pages so each location can win its own area.

01 / THE CHALLENGE

Why more locations means more work

With one location, local SEO is fairly simple. With five or fifty, the same problems multiply:

Inconsistent details

Old addresses, wrong phone numbers and different business names across Google, Facebook and directories, for every branch.

Locations competing

Several branches targeting the same searches, or one weak page trying to cover every town.

Profiles left behind

Some Google Business Profiles have photos and hundreds of reviews. Others haven’t been touched in years.

Brand vs local

Head office wants a consistent brand. Each location needs local photos, local offers and local reviews.

Who owns what

Profiles set up by different managers or old agencies, so nobody has full access.

No clear reporting

It’s hard to see which locations are growing and which need help.

02 / THE STRUCTURE

How we set it up

  1. One Google Business Profile per real location
Each branch with its own verified profile, the same brand name, the right categories, accurate hours and real photos. Businesses with 10 or more locations can usually use Google’s bulk verification. Profile guide
  2. One page per location on your website
A location page for each branch with its address, map, opening hours, team, services, reviews and local details. Each Google profile links to its own page, not the homepage.
  3. A clear site structure
A locations hub that links to every branch, and service pages that link to the locations offering them, so Google understands how everything fits together. Our areas hub
  4. Consistent details everywhere
Name, address and phone number matched across Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Facebook and Irish directories. Citations guide
  5. Schema for each location
Organization schema for the brand and LocalBusiness schema for each branch, so Google and AI tools connect them correctly. Schema guide

03 / REVIEWS

Reviews at every location

Reviews are one of the strongest local ranking factors, and they need to happen at every branch, not just the busiest one. We set up a simple review-request process that each location can follow, with a direct link to that location’s profile. How to get more reviews

04 / FRANCHISES

For franchises

Franchises add another layer: head office owns the brand, and franchisees own the local relationship. What works best:

  • Head office owns the website and controls the brand
  • Each franchisee gets their own location page and Google profile, with head office keeping ownership access
  • Shared templates for posts, offers and photos, so each location looks consistent
  • Local content each franchisee can add: team photos, local jobs, local news

What you get

  • Audit of every location’s profile, page and citations
  • Location page template and build
  • Review process for every branch
  • AI search checks for each area
  • One report with every location side by side

05 / PRICE

Price

Multi-location SEO is quoted in writing after a free check, because it depends on the number of locations and the state of each one. For a single location, our Local plan starts at €450 a month (excluding VAT).

06 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Should each location have its own website?

Usually not. One strong website with a page for each location is easier to manage and builds authority in one place. Separate websites split your links and reviews.

Can I have a Google Business Profile for a location without staff or a shop front?

No. Google only allows profiles for locations where you actually meet customers or have staff during business hours. Virtual offices and mailboxes break Google’s rules and risk suspension.

Why does one of our locations rank much better than the others?

Usually because of reviews, a more complete profile, a better location page, or simply being closer to where people search. We find the gaps location by location.

Can we manage all locations from one Google account?

Yes. A business group in Google Business Profile lets you manage every location together while giving branch managers limited access to their own.
